Cosmetic Procedures that you can get at lunch time

Total Beauty published a list of cosmetic treatments that you can get at lunch time that will make you look and feel good.

Radiofrequency

Radiofrequency skin tightening (Venus Freeze, Velashape, etc.)
What: A non-invasive treatment that uses radio frequency and magnetic pulses to stimulate collagen and elastin fiber generation to treat cellulite and loose skin on the face, neck and body.
Procedure Time: 30 minutes on average
Number of visits: 4 for maximum results
Downtime: none
Optimal results seen in: After 4 sessions (usually 2-4 months)
Lasts for: 3-6 months

Though somewhat similar to ultherapy, patients report that the radio frequency used to heat skin in this proecedure make for a more painful experience. If you have a short lunch break, pack a long-sleeved shirt for your appointment — you can expect lingering redness for 30-45 minutes on areas that have been treated.

Coolsculpting

What: A non-surgical spot-treatment procedure that uses controlled cooling to zap fat cells in targeted areas like love handles and back fat.
Procedure time: 45 mins – 1 hour per area
Number of visits: 1 visit per area
Downtime: none
Optimal results seen in: 3-4 months
Lasts for: permanent

The most uncomfortable part of the procedure may be the weird poses you have to wiggle into depending on what area you’re targeting. Otherwise, be prepared for swelling post-visit before you actually start seeing results.

Fractional Laser Resurfacing

What: A non-invasive treatment that uses an intense light beam to target and treat surface skin damage, such as acne scars, age spots, sun damage and even stretch marks and wrinkles.
Procedure time: about 30 minutes
Number of visits: 3-4 sessions for optimal results
Downtime: 3-5 days
Optimal results seen in: 4 months
Lasts for: can last years; dependent on genetics and sun exposure

The procedure relies on less invasive, non-ablative lasers that don’t remove layers of the skin, making the swelling, redness and recovery time all minimal.

Ablative Laser Skin Resurfacing

What: An invasive laser resurfacing treatment that removes the top layer of skin.
Procedure time: about 30 minutes
Number of visits: just one session
Downtime: a week
Optimal results seen in: Notice results in one or two weeks, but optimal is 4 months Lasts for: can last for years; dependent on genetics and sun exposure

Unlike non-ablative laser skin resurfacing, ablative laser resurfacing actually removes the surface of the skin.
The downtime is longer, but you only need one office visit compared to 3 or 4, and the stronger wavelengths work best for removing wrinkles.
