Acne scars can be difficult to conceal. However, with the right technique and hard-working products, your skin can be smooth, even and undetectably flawless.
But what’s the best way to go about camouflaging minor scars?
“When covering up acne scars I actually apply foundation first, which might seem a bit unusual, but it actually gives a good base to work with and you can clearly see what needs to be better concealed,” advises top make-up artist Georgia Hayes.
“Next, I use a fine-tipped make-up brush to dot the concealer around the scar and either blend with a brush or my fingers.
“It’s really important to match your concealer to your skin tone. Choosing a concealer that doesn’t properly match, particularly if it’s a shade darker, will only make the acne scar or blemish stand out more.
For ultimate staying power, Georgia recommends setting base with a translucent powder.
“It’ll keep everything in place and allows it to last throughout the day,” Georgia adds.
