Reducing stress is easier than we think. There are simple things that we can do that if we really follow them we can reduce our levels of stress in a matter of minutes.
- Identify what stresses you.
I have observed so many people that feel stressed but they are not capable of identifying what is actually stressing them. Once you can understand the reasons of your stress you can take actions on reducing it.
- Setting up achievable standards
When you set up very high goals or objectives that are very hard to accomplish it is highly likely that you will be more stressed. It is better to set small goals that you can achieve and then bring them to a higher level once you have achieved those smaller goals.
- Set up a goal of REDUCING STRESS.
I observe how many people set themselves up for stress. They schedule too many things in one day that have to be achieved in a very short period of time. What happens is that they end up very stressed and not enjoying those activities. We have the mother that runs from the swimming lesson to the ballet class all within one hour and of course if there is traffic or something doesn’t go according to plan the levels of stress increase.
- Forgetting about Perfectionism
When you concentrate on getting the things done instead of doing them perfect your chances of getting your task completed are higher.
- Developing a Flexible Mindset
If you learn to be flexible it is less likely that you will get stressed when things change or when they don’t go according to plan.
At the end of the day we have to reduce our levels of stress if we want to be happy with ourselves. If we stress too much we will never be able to find that we are achieving.
