Bella Thorne is creating her own line of prom dresses.
The Disney actress is teaming up with her older sister Dani, who is a stylist, to create a limited-edition line called Bella by Sherri Hill. Sherri Hill is an American eveningwear designer whose pieces range from fun dresses to more formal ensembles.
As well as prom gowns Bella’s range will include quinceañera dresses – worn for the celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday in Latin America cultures.
It was Bella’s own quinceañera gown made by Sherri last year which inspired the pair to collaborate.
“It has been a dream of mine to design dresses, and I felt like I was reliving the magic of my quinceañera all over again!” Bella gushed to teenvogue.com. “The dress Sherri designed for me last year was such a dream come true, and I wanted to find a way to make dreams come true for other girls.”
Bella’s collection will feature over 20 dresses and one will resemble the special gown she wore for the big occasion last year. They will be available in stores next spring.
The 16-year-old star previously modelled for Sherri’s spring 14 collection, wearing designs such as the Embellished Empire Gown and Beaded Short Dress as part of the campaign.
Bella is no stranger to giving young girls advice on what to wear for major school events.
“I think that since it’s prom, you should definitely wear a long dress. You can wear a short one anytime!” she previously told Seventeen Magazine.
“This is the moment when you get to be a princess, and for me, that means a sweetheart neckline, long, then pouf-out and big.”
