Antonio Berardi’s Fall/Winter 14 collection celebrated rock chic style, mixed with classic cuts.
The latest designs from the fashion house were showcased this morning at London Fashion Week, with heavy use of traditional winter colours black and grey.
Emerald green hues peppered the collection and made the runway pop with colour.
Floor length gowns sashayed down the catwalk, as did dresses and skirts with a much shorter hemline.
Heavy winter coats nipped in at the waist gave a tailored twist on to the new collection. Sequined shoulders gave the clothes added detail.
Models wore shoes reminiscent of the back of a corset, with the effect of the feet being laced up. There were ankle length and thigh length versions of the shoes, giving the collection an edgy feel.
The beauty look was inspired by Joan Jett, with Antonio going for “effortless cool and not made-up”. Christopher Kane unveiled his first leather goods on the catwalk this morning, alongside a fun and girly Fall/Winter 14 line.
Pinks, greens and yellows looked striking against black garments, and the designer made heavy use of different textures and fabrics.
Splashes of neon were a signature look for the new handbag collection, with the miniature bags adorned with buckles too.
Daisy Lowe sat front row for the show, and seemed impressed with the new collection,
“Christopher Kane…. Again the best show yet. Sophisticated fun, beautiful (sic)” she posted next to a montage of catwalk images on her Instagram account.
Peter Pilotto, Tom Ford and Ashish will be showcasing their new collections later today.
