Beyoncé’s ‘Crazy’ Work Out

Beyoncé Knowles shows her body.

Beyoncé Knowles has revealed she lost 65 pounds after giving birth to her daughter.

The 32-year-old singer welcomed hers and husband Jay-Z’s little girl Blue Ivy in January 2012.

One thing which drove Beyoncé to shed the weight was her desire to show off her figure through her music.

Speaking in part four of her self-titled documentary, with the episode titled Liberation, the musician recalled that time in her life.

“I was very aware of the fact that I was showing my body. I was 195 pounds when I gave birth, I lost 65 pounds, I worked crazily to get my body back. I wanted to show my body,” she explained.

“I wanted to show that you can have a child and you can work hard and you can get your body back. I know finding my sensuality, getting back into my body, being proud of growing up, it was important to me that I expressed that in my music because there are so many women that feel the same thing after they give birth.”

In the video for her track Partition from her new self-titled album, Beyoncé was inspired to recreate a certain scenario. She was also keen to give her spouse, who appears in the clip, a special treat.

“The day I got engaged was my husband’s birthday and I took him to Crazy Horse [cabaret bar] and I remember thinking, ‘Damn, these girls are fly.’ And I just thought it was the ultimate sexy show. I wish I was up there, I wish I could perform that for my man… so that’s what I did for my video,” she explained.

Jay-Z announced on December 3, his 44th birthday, that he and his wife were to begin a 22-day long vegan diet.

On Sunday the pair appeared to celebrate the end of their healthy stint as they were spotted tucking into a seafood feast at Miami restaurant Seasalt and Pepper.

Insiders told US newspaper the New York Post that the restaurant’s chef Alfredo Alvarez cooked them up pappardelle, lobster risotto and seafood casserole.
