Body Implants Cosmetic Surgery in Sydney

Another cosmetic procedure that has become popular in Australia is the insertion of body implants.

3 of the most popular body implants that are performed by cosmetic surgeons in Sydney are:

Buttock, pectoral & calf implants.

There are also other facial implants that have become popular like cheek and chin implants but we are talking about those in a different section.

The accs.org.au provides the following information about this procedure.

Procedure: insertion of a silicone implant (usually behind a muscle) to enlarge the appearance of the muscle.
Length: 1 to 3 hours.
Anesthesia: Usually general.
In/Outpatient: Usually outpatient.
Side Effects: Temporary discomfort, tightness of tissues, swelling, bruising. Temporary nerve numbness or tingling.
Risks: Movement of the implant. Infection, bleeding, hypertrophic or keloid scarring. If implants become infected they would most likely need to be removed, and then re-inserted once the tissues have healed.
Recovery: Back to work 7 to 10 days, exercise 4-6 weeks.
Duration: Permanent.
