Kate Bosworth is “inspired” by the process of making clothing.

The blonde actress is co-founder of jewellery line JewelMint and has created her own range titled The Collection with high street retailer Topshop.

“I grew up with my father giving me an education in fashion,” she smiled to British magazine Look. “I’ve spent my life around fabrics and texture, and understanding the art of design. My father taught me so much about the incredible attention to detail and quality that goes into the process of creating beautiful clothes, and that’s what continues to inspire me.”

Kate is thrilled at the success of her 46-piece Topshop collection. The 30-year-old star revamped her own wardrobe when creating the pieces and is pleased the hard work has paid off.

“I’m designing basically for myself. These are clothes I would want to wear,” she explained. “I’m particularly proud of the white leather lab coat that I spent months and months obsessing over. I hope I can continue to evolve as a designer in the years ahead.”

Kate has previously expressed her interest in having a line of her own. After learning so much from designing she feels ready to take on more control.

“I think you always want to keep pushing yourself to do something in which I’d be even more involved with. Potentially [I might have my own line] I don’t take anything lightly, and if I were to take that on, I’d have a really wonderful team, and that’s something that’s important,” she told fashionista.com.
