It might sound strange but if you’re looking to brighten up your complexion, you might want to begin by focusing on your feet.
Top holistic therapists are convinced that by using something called The Raindrop Technique, the skin on our face can be given a major oxygen boost by applying essential oils to reflexology points on the feet.
We caught up with renowned holistic therapist Rebeccah Steele to find out more.
“Looking after your body from the inside is critical,” says Rebeccah, who has composed a whole host of innovate holistic techniques.
“After all, the health of our skin is directly linked to our mental and nutritional wellbeing.
“As a therapist, I’ve been using Young Living Essential Oils for about 10 years and they really are brilliant for boosting your skin’s health, particularly when combined with treatments such as The Raindrop Technique.”
As part of the technique, essential oils are dropped like rain from a height of about six inches, then lightly massaged in.
This then stimulates energy impulses and disperses the oils along the nervous system, throughout the entire body.
“It’s basically a specialised form of massage delivering benefits of the oils throughout the body,” Rebeccah explains.
“Energy is released through the impulses created between the therapist’s fingers and the reflex points and meridians in the soles of the feet, stimulating the internal body systems,” she adds.
The result, Rebeccah explains, is that your complexion will receive a major oxygen boost and the visible results are quite instant.
“It allows the skin to start functioning at an optimal level and you’ll see a healthy glow straight away,” she adds.
