Cara Delevingne once wore a Chelsea soccer team kit under a bridesmaids dress.
The 21-year-old fashion star has modelled for the likes of Victoria’s Secret, Burberry and DKNY.
While she has to wear feminine outfits for these jobs, Cara didn’t grow up with a love for girly outfits.
“I grew up in a house of girls and always wanted to be different. want to wear dresses!’” she recalled to Mail Online. “The first time I was a bridesmaid, I had to wear my Chelsea kit underneath.”
Cara knows she is “lucky” to be naturally skinny as it is a trait which has benefitted her in the industry.
“My body is not perfect, and I love that. I have bow legs. Some people have straight legs but I have bow legs. And a thigh gap,” she smiled.
Cara suffers from the skin disorder psoriasis. Although she gets aggravated by it sometimes the model is grateful to have encountered people with the same problem
“There’s no cure, but I am on a very heavy medical course. I have been able to meet a lot of people who have it, which is good,” she explained.
“People don’t talk about it, because it’s a weird and embarrassing thing, but it can really screw you up for life if you don’t deal with it properly. The side effects of dealing with it are not pretty.”
The model’s busy work schedule often leaves her feeling stressed out. Cara puts this down to the expectations she puts on herself.
“I woke up this morning in floods of tears, for no apparent reason. A lot of girls my age do. It’s just the way you feel in the morning,” she added.
“When you put so much pressure on yourself, you break, and today I was crying, freaking out.”
