Chloë Grace Moretz’s mother doesn’t let her buy expensive clothes.

The 16-year-old actress is already considered a style icon with her edgy fashion sense.

Although she has a passion for clothes, Chloë admits her mom Teri makes sure her taste is modest and affordable.

“I love going to Topshop, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel. I’m in love with their jackets,” she gushed to British magazine Look.

“My mom doesn’t let me buy expensive brands, but oh, McQueen – I adore McQueen so much. Also Jonathan Saunders, Miu Miu, Prada and definitely Kenzo – I really like what they’re doing lately.”

While she dreams of wearing more designer labels Chloë is glad her outfits make her more relatable. She believes her high street items are a better influence on young fans than pricey pieces.Chloe Grace Moretz wears spotty dress

“I think it’s great that a girl could see a paparazzi picture of me and buy what I’m wearing,” she smiled. “I’m not often running around in Givenchy or Louis Vuitton.”

There is one particular area where her parent is more lenient though. Chloë is occasionally allowed to splash out on footwear and has one particular brand she adores more than others.

“Sometimes she’ll let me get nice shoes. I have so many pairs by [British designer] Rupert Sanderson,” she added. “They’re not ridiculously comfortable to wear, but they are the most beautiful.”
