Collagen Skin Needling

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT or skin needling) is a way to rejuvenate facial skin without damaging the epidermis. This is done under general or local anaesthetic by cosmetic surgeons and dermatologists. This procedure holds great promise in rejuvenating both the face and other areas of the body. The procedure has been compared to laser resurfacing which destroys the epidermis to make facial skin look smoother.

Skin needling provides an alternative which does not permanently damage the epidermis.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment is often given in conjunction with Collagen Induction Therapy at our clinic in order to boost the new collagen formation and thus enhance facial rejuvenation.

  1. you would need to ask your insurance company to see if they would cover the needling for acne scarring. We can give you a letter to say what the treatment is for, but it is up to them to see if they will cover it.

    Thanks
