It is very large the number of cosmetic procedures that are performed in Australia to reduce wrinkles.
According to ISAPS Report 2009 Total Procedures Top 25 Countries (International Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery) Australian Plastic Surgeons performed 14,625 Blepharoplasty procedures. This is more than the number of procedures performed in the UK where the number was 10,829 and their population is larger.
For Facelift, plastic surgeons performed only 1,463 procedures that year (this is the latest data available so far).
For non surgical procedures Australia also had a large number of procedures performed to help women reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
21,983 people received Botox or Dysport Injections (Botulinium)
It is interesting to find out how many aussies are concerned about showing their age.
What I have to say though is that I do have observed that I believe due to the harsh sun conditions in Australia women here tend to develop premature wrinkles on their face.
Would you get a cosmetic surgery treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles?
