Daria Werbowy is taking over from Miranda Kerr as the face of Mango.
The 29-year-old model has been announced as the latest star to represent the Spanish label. Daria is probably best known for being a spokesperson for Lancôme and Mango believe she is the perfect person to embody their collections.
“Beyond her impressive career, in which she has been the face of the best brands in fashion and cosmetics, Daria perfectly represents the values of Mango,” said Ninona Vila, MNG by Mango’s public relations manager. “She is a young girl with a strong personality and sense of style.”
The Ukrainian-Canadian beauty already has an impressive portfolio. Since being discovered at the age of 14, she has worked for labels including Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada and Missoni.
Landing the Mango campaign will see Daria follow in the footsteps of names such as Miranda, Kate Moss, Milla Jovovich, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington, Elizabeth Jagger, Penélope Cruz and Diane Kruger who have all previously posed for the company.
Daria will appear in Mango’s spring campaign, which will be featured in March fashion magazines.
The photoshoot took place in Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, and was shot by Josh Olins.
In a preview of images for the campaign, Daria poses in a variety of different prints, and sports an indie-rock inspired outfit, a tribal look and hippie-inspired embroidery with flowing silhouettes.
