David Beckham thinks he may be too “old” to model underwear.
The 38-year-old sportsman has his own line of underpants for high street store H&M. He has also launched a bodywear range for the shop this Christmas.
After designing and modelling for the company over the past two years, David is unsure of what the future holds.
“I don’t know… I’m getting a bit old for that now but… we’ll see! We’ll see,” he told The Showbiz 411 when asked whether he’ll be posing in his smalls again.
David’s holiday campaign was released last month. The candid shots show the former soccer star modelling a range of boxers, including a wine shade, in a gym changing room.
There have been new items added to his range this time round, including warm sweatshirts and beanie hats. David recently explained he hopes these will give his collection a fresh look from when it first debuted in January 2012.
“I think it’s always important, when we bring in a new collection now, is to update it enough so people feel like they’re getting something different from the old collection,” he explained. “I think that we’ve done that with this – I think adding the green, adding the vine, adding the cream, brings a new dimension to the whole collection.”
He also couldn’t contain his excitement about the waffle, a long-sleeved textured sweatshirt.
“It’s very, very exciting, ‘cos there’s a lot of work gone behind it and a lot of process and a lot of thinking, and personally the waffle is something I’m excited about because it’s something that I wear all the time,” he smiled.
