Diaz: My Book Is for Everyone

Cameron Diaz 'Body Book' book launch, New York, America - 06 Jan 2014. Cameron looks so glad with her book.

Cameron Diaz’s book is about “everyone’s” body.

The actress has written The Body Book, which aims to inform women about what to eat and how to exercise properly.

While she graces the cover, Cameron wants to make sure girls don’t feel alienated and think the tome is all about her.

“This book is not about me, my body. This is about them, about women; it’s for everyone. I wanted the book to represent them, to go in and find the answers about their bodies,” she explained on Good Morning America.

The 41-year-old looks amazing and is known for her slim physique and healthy way of life.

She acknowledges she’s no wellbeing expert, but felt it was time to research the topic properly.

“I spoke to a lot of experts to compile this information. This book is… informative, it works around nutrition, fitness, the wellbeing of your body,” she revealed.

“I feel like, why don’t we have this information about our body? We’re with it from beginning to end, all day long we’re in our body. We know nothing about it. We don’t learn about it in school, we learn to read and write so we can get a job, so we can buy food, but what does it do? How does it affect our body?”

Cameron’s book is pretty candid and nothing is left unsaid.

She touches on the trend for removing pubic hair, giving her opinion that natural is best.

“I hear that there’s a big fad these days of young women undergoing laser hair removal on all of their lady bits,” she writes.

“I know you may think you’ll be wearing the same style of shoes forever and the same style of jeans forever, but you won’t.

“The idea that vaginas are preferable in a hairless state is a pretty recent phenomenon, and all fads change, people.”
