Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge is apparently eager to experiment with her hair since becoming a mother.
Catherine, who gave birth to son George in July, is widely admired for her long brunette locks. The royal recently parted ways with long-time hairdresser James Pryce, who was responsible for styling her mane when her engagement was announced and created her wedding demi-chignon. She has now turned to Rossano Ferretti, whose celebrity client base includes Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga and Angelina Jolie.
“Kate wanted a change when she became a mother. Going to meet someone new was a natural progression,” a source told British magazine Grazia.
James had worked with Catherine since 2003. Apparently he fell out of favour with the royal family when he used the duchess to boost his profile during a tour of the US last year.
Now Kate has turned to Hollywood hairdresser Rossano, who charges £1,000 per cut. His salon is based in Mayfair, London, and when clients arrive they are met by a butler. He also has a salon in Beverly Hills which is frequented by some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Catherine has already been showing signs of mixing up her hairstyle. Last month she wore her hair in tight ringlets for one public engagement, and also debuted a flattering blow-dry for another official outing.
She has also been working with other stylists including Richard Ward and Amanda Cook Tucker. The duchess is believed to have asked Sydney-based hairdresser John Bailey to tend to her locks when she tours Australia with her husband Prince William next year.
