Erin O’Connor’s fashion sense is “led” by her body.
The 35-year-old model is one of the biggest names in the industry and stars in the UK edition of The Face alongside Caroline Winberg and Naomi Campbell.
Rather than blindly following trends, the star knows to wear clothes that suit her best.
“My body shape has always led my style choices, and over the years I’ve softened my look to mix androgyny with femininity,” she explained to British InStyle magazine.
“My favourite high-street store is COS for their simplistic silhouettes.”
Over the years Erin has walked for the likes of Christian Dior, Versace and Prada.
She can still recall her favourite fashion moment, which was in 2009.
“My ultimate red-carpet moment was when I wore a black Jean Paul Gaultier ballgown to the Met Ball in NYC,” she smiled.
“His ability to create fantasy had me obsessed for many years before I got to model for him. He’s a very special person to me and always has a good book suggestion.”
These days, Erin always looks glamorous on the red carpet.
However, she hasn’t always picked designer gowns over comfortable options.
“My first ever fashion purchase was a pair of Levi’s 501s,” she recalled.
“I’ve flirted with trends over the years but always rely on great classics. I prefer to hint at fashion rather than let it govern me.”
The Face UK’s first season finished earlier this year, with Naomi’s contestant Emma Holmes winning the competition.
