Exercises for a 76 year old woman

Age is never a factor when it comes to exercise, no matter how old you are you will always benefit from exercising.

Let’s have a look to the story of Jane Fonda who is 76. We know for sure that she has been committed to exercising.

Jane Fonda never wakes up and feels excited about working out.

The 76-year-old star has been synonymous with keeping fit since she released her first exercise video in 1982. Although she takes the time to keep her body in the best shape possible, she struggles with the gym just like anyone else.

“Frankly for me I don’t like to work out. You know I don’t wake up in the morning and say, ‘Oh goodie! I am going to go workout now,’” she laughed to vogue.com.au. “The reason that motivates me is that I am going to feel so good afterwards. It’s the after effect that I am going for physically. My energy is going, my blood is flowing and you know everything is moving. I also feel good because I am proud of myself – I did it! You know what I mean? That’s what keeps me going,” she laughed.

The actress is proud of her toned body and insists if she can do it anyone can. She also wants women to know that growing older doesn’t have to be a negative experience.

“Terrified!” she laughed, when asked how she felt about ageing when she was in her 20s. “When you’re outside of ageing it’s really, really scary but when you’re in the middle of it it’s not scary at all. Assuming you are healthy.”

For Jane, the focus should be on finding the time to exercise regularly. She doesn’t think it matters if you have a plush gym membership or prefer to go running in the park, explaining one of the reasons she started her videos was to encourage busy women to get moving.

“I think so much depends on your individual life. If you’re a young mother with a child and you don’t have time to go to the gym – do it at home! I mean that’s one of the reasons I was making the videos back then so that women who weren’t able to go out were able to do it at home easily,” she recalled. “But there is a huge advantage if you can go to the gym to do it. in small groups. You are all motivating each other, you become a like a team.”
