Tracy Anderson has hit out at those who think Gwyneth Paltrow’s exercise regime is easy.
The legendary fitness trainer has worked with a host of stars to help them transform their bodies, including Gwyneth, Nicole Richie and Madonna.
But she’s adamant that celebrities don’t have it any easier than normal people and the only thing a body change boils down to is willpower.
“If you want to transform your body, you will. If you sit around complaining you don’t like your body. but aren’t prepared to put the work in, there’s really nothing I can do for you. People say, ‘Oh it’s so easy for Gwyneth,’ it’s not!
“She’s been my client for eight years – she does the work and changes her workout every ten days,” Tracy told British magazine Now.
Tracy has a no-nonsense approach when it comes to fitness and doesn’t pander to the needs of celebrities who demonstrate diva-like behaviour.
While she’s happy to work with famous faces, she refuses to comply with their lack of respect.
“I don’t show up if they don’t. I don’t go dragging people out of bed! I’ve had some famous clients who I’ve refused to work with because they think they can show up late, text on their phone…,” she said candidly.
She also doesn’t like hearing the excuse that people just don’t have the time to exercise in their day-to-day lives.
Drawing again on the example of Gwyneth, Tracy explains that even the busiest of people can fit training in.
“There are no excuses. Gwyneth’s one of the busiest people on the planet- she’s got two children, runs two companies and is an actress, but she finds the time to exercise six days a week,” she fumed.
“So I don’t buy that it isn’t realistic for people. I don’t think you’d go six days without brushing your teeth. Even 30 minutes a day is great. It’s not too much to ask. It just needs to be six days a week.”
