I get to see so many pictures of celebrities that I wonder who sets those ideals of beauty and perfect bodies.
To be pretty you need to have certain measurements, weight, height and even specific bra sizes.
Who says who is acceptable? Who dictates what is pretty?
I loved this quote from Khloe Kardashian, the ugly duck of the Kardashian sisters who revealed that even when she managed to lose 30 pounds in 2009 after taking Quick Trim pills she still received the criticism.
“A few years ago I lost 30 pounds, and people still wanted to criticize. And honestly, I’m happy with myself if I’m a little heavier. ‘I realized: Why am I trying to conform to someone else’s idea of beauty? I think I’m beautiful either way.”

Maybe we should think more about someone else’s ideal of beauty when we feel that we are not complying with the beauty standards that someone else has set. The other day I was looking at my body and I was being very hard on me. I am very slim and I have been exercising for a while so I can tell that my posture is better than ever and my core is very strong but my stomach is not as flat as the one of those pretty celebs, I was feeling very bad about myself until I started thinking of all the good things that my exercise regime has given me so I thought I will not worry more about looking like a star, instead I will keep up the good effort to feel good about myself and enjoy the journey.
What we should not forget though is that the Kardashian Sisters are part of show business that is a reality show and for them it works fine to have an ‘ugly’ sister. For me Khloe is very pretty and she helps a lot to the entire Kardashian business, she promotes clothes for the bigger girls, she creates bad comments and those are scandals that magazines like to promote the 3 sisters. Khloe herself has contracts with companies that sell products related to plus size women.
