Julianne Moore’s Stylish Offspring

CFDA And Vogue 2013 Fashion Fund Finalists Celebration Julianne´s daughter is very stylish.

Julianne Moore’s daughter is “more daring” with fashion than she is.

The 53-year-old actress has 11-year-old Liv with her director husband Bart Freundlich.

During New York Fashion Week earlier this year Julianne watched as her daughter blossomed and shared style tips with her mum.

“[Liv] has suddenly become very interested in fashion. She even went to Fashion Camp this summer. So I was like, ‘Liv, do you want to go [to the show]?’ We had a great time, and she met every fashion editor in the business,” Julianne told online magazine The Edit.

“She loved it. She talked about the clothes as they came out – what she liked, what she would wear, what she thought would look good on me, and I said what would look good on her. It’s a great thing to share. She’s much more daring than I am, certainly with colour.”

The flame-haired actress continued to recall her fashion choices on a trip to Montauk, New York, last summer with her family, which includes son Caleb.

Julianne remembers how Bart teased her for not getting dolled up as she took Liv out for horse-riding lessons.

“I’d been wearing pyjamas, and changed into my Isabel Marant jacket, a hat and sunglasses, and [Bart] was like, ‘Whoa! What the hell happened?’ and I’m like, ‘I look good! Leave me alone!’” she laughed.

“The person who appreciates it most is my daughter. She likes all my stuff. And the resistance I get the most is probably from my husband.”

Although she is confident with her style Julianne does have a few rules which she strives to follow.

“After a certain age, you can’t wear anything with words on it. Also, I don’t wear a lot of colour because, having red hair, I carry a lot of colour with me. I read a quote from an actress who said, ‘Only wearing black is like not taking chances’, and I was like, ‘I guess I don’t take chances then! I wear a lot of black!’” she mused.
