Kanye ‘Bans Wang Wedding Gown’

Kim Kardashian out and about, Los Angeles, America - 03 Jan 2014. Kanye West banned Kim from choosing a Vera Wang design.

Kanye West has reportedly banned Kim Kardashian from having a Vera Wang wedding gown.

The Yeezus singer has apparently put his foot down because Kim chose the designer for her second wedding to basketball star Kris Humphries. They exchanged vows in 2011 but the marriage lasted just 72 days.

But Kim isn’t too upset about the rule, as sources claim the 33-year-old star will have at least two outfit changes for the ceremony and reception.

“Kim wore Vera [Wang] when she married Kris Humphries, so Kanye has banned her designs,” an insider told British magazine Grazia.

“Kim will have one formal, one party and an after-party dress. It is likely they’ll be designed – with Kanye’s help – by Valentino and Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy.”

Kim enjoys a close friendship with Riccardo and has often uploaded photos of the presents he has gifted her baby daughter North.

Victoria Beckham is rumored to be in the running to create Kim’s bridesmaids dresses.

As well as deciding on her frock, insiders say Kim is determined to slim down for the big day and is hoping to lose at least seven pounds.

“She’s been getting up at 4am to work out for three hours before she starts work. She wants to be 112lbs., so she’d got about seven pounds to lose,” the source added.

But it will all be worth it when the big day arrived and the bride tucks into her wedding cake, which may include diamonds on top.

“There will be an endless champagne fountain and the couple are said to be taken with a creation by Mimi So jewelers and La Patisserie Artistique. The two Beverly Hills based companies once created a $20m masterpiece festooned with diamonds, thought to have been the most expensive wedding cake ever made,” reports Grazia.
