Kate Middleton’s Dunkan Diet as Seen in A Current Affair

Yesterday in A Current Affair we saw that Kate Middleton is loosing a lot of weight and it is believed that she is following the Dunkan’s Diet.

The TV Show mentioned that it is Kate the one following this diet. Since before and after images suggest that she has been loosing weight.

Different sources say that it is actually Kate’s mum the one following this diet since she has to look great on the wedding day.

If she is following that diet, it is working. Just compare the two images and she looks much more slimmer now.

Let’s get back to the diet…

I did a bit of research and I found out that this strict diet based on cottage cheese and prawns has been branded a ‘health hazard’ by a top French medical body. It has now been revealed that the diet could lead to ‘serious nutritional imbalances’ with too much salt and a lack of fibre and vitamin C.

Carole, Kate Kate Middleton’s mother did slim down for the Royal wedding on meagre rations of meat, fish and cheese using the popular Dukan diet said the Dail Mail.

Chief researcher Dr Jean-Michel Lecerf said: ‘Diets like Atkins in the US and Dukan in France are particularly unbalanced.

‘The Dukan diet is associated with an increased risk of cancer and heart disease, even if this has not yet been proved in tests.

This French experts also says that the only diet that is fairly well balanced is the Weight Watchers diet.

How does the Dunkan Diet work?

Dukan dieters follow an intial ‘attack’ phase where they eat only low-fat protein, followed by the ‘cruise’ phase of protein and low calorie vegetables.

Next come the ‘consolidation’ and ‘stabilisation’ phases where fruit and bread are introduced.

Why this Diet doesn’t work?

I believe that diets don’t work, if you are lucky enough to follow the diet once you finish “EAT” (sorry but that is all what you think about when you are dieting: to eat all you want as soon as you finish with your diet)… once you finish a Diet you eat all the things you were not allowed before….

Dr Lecerf added: ‘On most diets in 95 per cent of cases, people put the weight all back on when they stop

What do do if you really want to loose weight?

I say:

It is better to start eating healthy and exercise.

Australians are saying that you should start swapping.

What does the Diet Inventor said about the bad comments?

Pierre Dukan, who invented the controversial diet, has dismissed the new research and said 40 per cent of Dukan dieters did not regain weight afterwards.

What do I think?

We tend to think that diets work when someone famous has achieved results.

Diets may work to help you loose weight for the special event but that is not what is important.

The most important thing is that you learn what to eat so you could be healthy and happy with your own body. Everyday should be the special day for you…

Don’t follow a diet just because Royalty is making it popular.
