Kerry Washington’s Exercise Secrets

Kerry Washington has reportedly turned to celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson during her pregnancy.

The 36-year-old actress is expecting her first child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha and is thought to be around six months into her pregnancy.

While filming her hit TV series Scandal, the New York Post’s Page Six reports Kerry was spotted leaving the Tribeca studio belonging to trainer-to-the stars Tracy.

The 38-year-old exercise guru worked with Kim Kardashian during her pregnancy and has a close friendship with actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

Tracy has previously stressed how important it is for mothers to not overwork themselves in the first four to seven weeks. She also gave extra tips on how to lose weight throughout that vital resting period.

“During that time it is really important that [the mothers] don’t do anything. Women have to let their bodies come back naturally as much as they can come back,” she insisted. “Your only other option is to nurse. If you nurse, your body will naturally bring itself back to a certain extent, but not as small or smaller [as you were before].”

To keep herself healthy during her pregnancy, Kerry’s schedule for filming her TV show has been reduced.

ABC network confirmed to E! News earlier this month that the programme is set to film only 18 of the original 22 episodes planned for this season.

With reports she is due to give birth next spring, the delivery date would fall right into the middle of production.

“While the net gave no reason for the reduced order, Kerry is reportedly due in the spring, so since filming the final four episodes while she’s ready to pop probably wasn’t an option, the network either had to eliminate those episodes or write Olivia out of the show,” E! News wrote.
