Prada have hired Annie Leibovitz to shoot its men’s Spring 14 campaign pictures.
The American portrait photographer has joined the Milanese fashion house to helm the pictures for their upcoming advertisements.
Described by Prada as an “intimate character study of actor, Dane DeHaan”, Annie took a series of intense snaps of the handsome actor in various outfits from the new collection. Dane is set to play Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and currently stars alongside Daniel Radcliffe in Kill Your Darlings.
This is his second stint as a Prada model. He first appeared in the brand’s Spring/Summer 13 ads and head of the company Miuccia Prada called him back to work with Annie for her first collaboration.
The photo shoot took place in Annie’s New York studio. Dane can be seen striking different poses on a minimal background, wearing pieces such as a floral printed shirt and striped suit trousers.
He also appears in the advertisements for Prada’s new eyewear campaign, also shot by Annie.
His photos will appear in various publications from February and a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot is to be made available at prada.com.
Prada unveiled their womenswear Spring/Summer 14 collection as part of Milan Fashion Week last September.
Its designs were made up of loud colours and emblazoned with simple drawings of faces. Although the pieces are designed for the warmer weather many dresses appeared to be covered up and featured long sleeves and knee-length finishes.
