Evangeline Lilly looked lovely in lace at The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug premiere last night.

The 34-year-old actress wore an elegant black sheer gown with a diagonal tier ruffle detail from Alberta Ferretti’s fall 13 collection for the event in Berlin.

Evangeline kept her jewellery minimal, wearing small square stud earrings and a gold bangle on her wrist as the high lace neckline on the dress allowed her to go necklace free.

The brunette beauty pulled her hair off her face and had it styled into a messy bun. With grey smoky eye make-up Evangeline gave her lips a smooth nude finish and wore a spot of pink blush as a touch of colour.

Director Peter Jackson’s daughter Katie also turned heads on the red carpet. The brunette teenager looked grown-up in a little black dress and high heels.

Orlando Bloom, who reprises his role of elf Legolas in the fantasy flick, had women swooning as he arrived.

The chiselled actor looked handsome in a navy blue suit with a black collar and black pinstripe down his trouser leg. This ensemble worked perfectly with his crisp white shirt and shiny black shoes.

Fellow Brit Benedict Cumberbatch went for a more vintage feel with his outfit. His navy blazer was made from velvet and featured a brown collar to match his suit trousers. Keeping up his dapper appearance Benedict added a bow-tie to his white shirt.

The main star of the movie, Martin Freeman, opted for a lighter tone. His grey suit looked smart and his lime green tie added a splash of fun.
