Lindsay Lohan has urged fans to be “pretty in plaid”.

The actress has made a fashion comeback since returning from 90 court-ordered days in rehab last year and even has a style blog.

For the colder season, Lindsay wants her followers to embrace the trend for checks.

“pretty in plaid x… (sic),” she wrote on Twitter, attaching a link to her website.

“A trend that isn’t just for the holidays, winter is the perfect time for TARTAN,” she writes on the page.

“Saint Laurent and Versace are the designer champs when it comes to this trend but street style inspo is also in full force. Go from head-to-toe looks to one tartan statement piece, you won’t regret it. x TEAM LOHAN (sic).”

Another look the 27-year-old is promoting for the season is “winter whites”.

She posted a link to her blog, where she has a gallery of herself rocking the trend.

“always love a good winter white wardrobe xo…” she wrote.

“All white looks for winter. (sic)”

In the gallery she includes a snap of herself covering up against the chill in a huge, fluffy white faux fur coat.

There are also picture of Lindsay in slinky white mini-dresses.

Lindsay has looked slim and healthy since she left rehab.

However, the Mean Girls star allowed herself to tuck into some treats over Christmas.

“Hope everyone’s having a happy xmas i haven’t stopped eating since I got to my mom’s house yesterday!… (sic)” she wrote in December.
