Make-up According to Weather

Clyde 1 Live 2013 at the SECC, Glasgow, Scotland, Britain - 13 Dec 2013. Beauty According to Climate.

Perrie Edwards “sweats” off her make-up when she’s in the US.

The British singer and her Little Mix bandmates are often in America to perform and promote their music.

Sometimes they have to adapt their beauty look according to the climate.

“It’s really weird – when we’re [in the UK] it’s quite cool, so our make-up looks matte, but as soon as we’re in the heat it looks shiny,” she mused to the British edition of OK! magazine.

“We need to powder every five seconds, so we all end up looking a tad sweaty.”

The 20-year-old star doesn’t have a sense of smell, but shared that she uses Christina Aguilera’s fragrance as others like the scent on her.

Perrie and her bandmates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall are constantly receiving help from professionals for their onstage make-up.

The singer has picked up some handy hints along the way.

“It sounds silly but I always used to apply make-up with my hands and now I like using make-up brushes,” she explained.

“I apply foundation – I use Chanel’s Vitalumière – my concealer and everything with the brush instead.”

However, Perrie admits she sometimes commits a beauty sin when she “can’t be bothered” to cleanse her face after a long day.

The Little Mix girls are admired worldwide for their looks and have launched a cosmetics line with Collection.

“I love my purple lipstick, because I love a bold lip,” she gushed about the range.

“It’s really on-trend and a universally flattering colour. I like to wear it during the day without much make-up on my eyes – I just give them a lift with mascara.”
