The elite of the fashion world have been busy walking the runways, but have found the time to keep their Twitter followers updated with what’s going on during the prestigious event.
The weekend saw Diane von Furstenberg showcase her latest designs, with models flocking to applaud the legendary designer on her 40 years in fashion.
“Celebrating with the Divine Diane Congratulations @DVF on 40 Fabulous Years of the #JourneyOfADress. (sic)” Karlie Kloss posted with a photo of her sitting next to Diane.
“multi-tasking backstage at @DVF #WorkingGirl#firstlook #NYFW (sic)” she captioned a snap of herself typing on a laptop as her hair and nails were prepped for the catwalk show.
“Happy 40TH dvf #Runway #NYFW2014 (sic),” Joan Smalls wrote next to an Instagram snap of her walking the catwalk.
Coco Rocha co-hosted the Diane von Furstenberg Amex Unstaged show for the credit card’s YouTube channel.
She worked alongside Cat Deeley to bring viewers a taste of the catwalk, and the 25-year-old couldn’t wait to share some candid snaps with her Twitter followers.
“On stage with @DVF in her 40th year with her all-star cast of models. Bravo on a fantastic show! #NYFW #AmExUnstaged (sic)” she shared with her fans, alongside a photo of the event.
“I had a blast hosting the @DVF #AmExUnstaged show with this lady. Seriously made a new best friend. @CatDeeley #NYFW (sic).”
Coco recently spoke about how she’s glad the fashion world is using more plus-size models, though she doesn’t like the term when describing girls who don’t fit into the stereotypical mould of a catwalk star.
“I don’t like that fact that we’re saying they’re ‘plus-size.’ I think models are models. [Models] are supposed to be a muse to you. Why is a muse always the same body type, the same look? It’s boring. It’s about time we’re mixing it up,” she told the New York Post’s Page Six column.
Today will see Carolina Herrera and Zac Posen, among others, showcase their Fall/Winter 14 lines.
