Nurse Jacintha Dies! How would this affect Mel Greig?

A stupid joke ended up in tragedy. The Daily Mail reports Jacintha Saldanha, 46, who was working on the switchboard at the King Edward VII Hospital when 2DayFM obtained intimate details about Kate, was found dead this morning.

Did MAtty & Mel caused the death of Jacintha?

I know it is a tragedy for Jachintha’s family but I would like to speak for Mel. I cannot imagine how she would feel about this tragedy. The silly couple never imagined that this tragedy was going to happen as a consequence of their prank call.

I hope Mel can get the strength to cope with this very sad news for the rest of her life. This incident will really affect her in her future life (emotionally and in her career). I don’t think they ever imagines all this could happen.

A sad lesson

I am very sad about Jacintha and her family. This has to be a good lesson for all of us who have the power of influencing people to consider twice what we do, what we say and what we write.

What will happen with Mat & Mel?

It is believed that senior management at 2Day FM were so shocked at the death of Jacintha that bosses have ordered the pair off the air – probably never to return.
A statement from the station owners said: ‘Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) and 2Day FM are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the death of the nurse, Jacintha Saldanha from King Edward V11 Hospital and we extend our deepest sympathies to her family, and all that have been affected by this situation around the world.
‘CEO Rhys Holleran has spoken with the presenters, they are both deeply shocked, and at this time we have agreed that they not comment about the circumstances.
‘SCA and the hosts have decided that they will not return to their radio show, until further notice out of respect for what can only be described as a tragedy.’

It has become a very hard way for Mel to hit the International News.
