Atlanta de Cadenet admits she used to look “oily” in photographs.
The 21-year-old beauty has modelled for the likes of high street retailer Forever 21 and luxury label Polo Ralph Lauren in the past. In addition to this, her father John Taylor – bass player of Duran Duran – is married to Juicy Couture co-founder Gela Nash.
Despite having a glamorous lifestyle Atlanta admits it wasn’t until recently that she learnt what works best for her skin.
“I still feel really weird about getting my make-up done for events, because I’m not used to wearing make-up-make-up. But you have to do it a lot differently when people are taking flash photos,” she explained to intothegloss.com.
“I used to wear only Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser and Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance as an illuminator, because I like dewy skin. But then I would look so oily in photos. It was bad. So, powder is a new addition to my make-up bag.”
Although she enjoys the application of beauty products Atlanta has a relaxed outlook on what she buys. When it comes to investing in make-up she turns to affordable things.
“When a make-up artist teaches me to do anything, I get very excited. The best thing I’ve learned to use so far is Tom Ford’s Shade and Illuminate Palette. All you have to do is take the blender and dab it on your cheeks and it just brings out your cheekbones,” she gushed.
“I also just learned how to do my own eyeliner. I rely on drugstore brown eyeliners for the insides of my eyes. Right now it’s Maybelline Define-A-Line in Chestnut Brown. If I wear black liner, I like Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner – it lasts so much longer than my old Eyeko liner.”
