Independent Spirit Award Nominations, Los Angeles, America - 26 Nov 2013Paula has New Haircut.Paula is wearing a long sleeve white dress.

Paula Patton has chopped her long hair into a bob.

The actress swapped her long flowing waves for a stylish short hairstyle, choosing to debut it at the Independent Spirit Award Nominations yesterday.

Her dark hair perfectly framed her glowing complexion, and she wore a white long sleeved dress with sheer neckline and a short hemline which showed off her tanned legs.

Simple drop earrings meant that no attention was detracted from her new slick hair ‘do.

A sweep of red lipstick finished off the edgy look for the 37-year-old star.

Posing with Oscar winning actress Octavia Spencer, the pair announced the nominations for the 29th annual Spirit Awards which will take place on March 1.

Octavia looked less glamorous and dressed down in a metallic top paired with a pair of jeans. Her natural make-up and loose hair worked well next to Paula’s red carpet look.

The pair giggled with each other on stage, with 12 Years a Slave leading the way with seven nominations.

No doubt Paula’s husband Robin Thicke will approve of his wife’s bobbed hair.

The Blurred Lines singer and Paula were childhood sweethearts and have been together since they were 16, getting married in 2005.

He’s spoken openly about their “spicy” relationship, admitting that maybe they have too much passion in their marriage.

“In fact, she likes to do it more than ever now, sometimes she’ll even play groupie for me,” he previously told Elle magazine.

“The spice is not our problem. We’re overspiced. We could probably take a few spices off the shelf!”
