Rebel Wilson shows her excess weight in a swimming suit. Is it confronting to see her curves on display?
There are swimming costumes for all different types of bodies. Rebel Wilson proudly shows her body in a pretty swimming suit for big girls.
The news was covered by the Daily Mail, UK.
Rebel Wilson slips into frilly blue swimsuit in Hawaii as she keeps up fitness regimen with snorkeling and hiking
The curvaceous comedienne made the most of her lush surroundings, hiking through the picturesque trails and snorkeling in the crystal-clear ocean.
While the Super Fun Night star and creator has previously spoken about contractually not being able to lose a significant amount of weight, Rebel is making a concerted effort to be healthy and maintain her size, regularly seen hiking at LA’s Runyon Canyon.
The Australian actress’ snorkelling adventure has been covered by major blogs and websites.
Wilson is known as much for her comedy as she is for her curves—and according to the actress herself, the two go hand in hand. “I think most girls who are encouraged to come to L.A. and become actresses are usually the prettiest girls in their hometowns of Iowa or wherever,” she recently told In Touch. “So not looking like anyone else has made things easier for me, because I’m distinctive.”
Being different is Rebel’s main asset!
I have to admit that although I love Rebel, these images were a bit confronting for me. We don’t normally get to see celebrities like this. The concept of a famous woman is similar to the concept of “a perfect woman”. Rebel here shows how even when these ladies are so popular and they make movies they are still real women, like you and me, with excess fat and struggles to lose weight. What I really admire of her is that Rebel doesn’t care that all the camera are chasing her. She embraces her body and enjoys her life.
Rebel likes to inspire other women who look like her. The Australian actress has said that real women aren’t perfect and slim.
“There are so many glamorous actresses—but in the real world, nobody looks like that. I want to inspire girls who don’t think they’re cool or pretty,” she said. “To do that, I need to put out a realistic version of what it’s like to be a girl who looks like me. Sometimes that means getting broken up with by a dude who says, ‘You’re too fat.’ That way, when my character wins, it’s gratifying.”
