Red lips are high maintenance

2014 InStyle And Warner Bros. 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards Post-Party - Arrivals. Red Lips are Great.

Erin Wasson has joked red lipstick stops her from “making out” with guys.

The American model is one of the most gorgeous women in the industry and has starred in campaigns for the likes of Michael Kors and H&M.

She’s not afraid to experiment with make-up but thinks some looks are better for getting romantic than others.

“Me going out on a limb is wearing a red lip,” she laughed to the British edition of OK! magazine.

“I love the way it looks and the only reason I don’t wear it more often is because it is high maintenance. You’re in the bathroom every five seconds reapplying. You can’t make out with your dude, it’s all on your face!”

The 32-year-old has walked the runway for many brands and is also considered the It Girl of Maybelline cosmetics.

Landing a contract with the beauty giant was a huge step for Erin.

“The day I signed on the dotted line with Maybelline 12 or 13 years ago was pretty hot,” she grinned.

“I was young and extremely fortunate to have come into the industry. There’s not a whole lot of stability in this business so a make-up contract is like the Holy Grail. It’s emotional security in a very strange world. I still can’t believe I’m sitting here!”

The beautiful blonde added that the one product she can’t live without is conditioner.

Due to her unruly locks, it’s a must for the fashion star.

“I have Albert Einstein crazy curly hair, it’s wild and beachy,” she laughed.

Erin has many strings to her bow and also joins Pharrell Williams and Mel Ottenberg on Rihanna’s Styled to Rock show.
