SJP Curating Accessories Website

Sarah Jessica Parker is the curator of a new accessories website.

The former Sex and the City actress will curate WeTheAdorned, which will be launched by Tim McElwee and Cyia Batten in the spring.

WeTheAdorned will give members access to pieces designed exclusively for the website by Pamela Love, Dannijo, Fenton and Fallon, Erickson Beamon, Lulu Frost, Lizzie Fortunato, Paige Novick and more.

Every Monday a new item – curated by Sarah Jessica – will be introduced and premium members will get a 24-hour head start.

Each one will be produced in limited quantities, depending on the item and designer.

“We might only make 200 units of one piece,” Tim told WWD.

“We’re providing a platform for designers that allows them to have a destination where they can sell their best pieces in a way that they can make money. We’re marketing the designers, not WeTheAdorned; it’s a really big differentiator.”

WeTheAdorned will have a membership format, with premium and non-premium options.

Prices are expected to range from about $50 to $1,000.

It’s a busy time for Sarah Jessica Parker as along with curating the website, she is also promoting her own line of shoes.

Her line, SJP, was influenced by memories she had as a child growing up on a tight budget.

“The thing is, when I was growing up, we really didn’t have two nickels to rub together, but my mother always made sure that my sisters and I had two grosgrain ribbons in our hair,” she told O Magazine.

“I have them for my own daughters now, and my nieces wear them too. The grosgrain ribbons make SJP’s really identifiable to others and really personal to me.”
