Stewart Secures Chanel Role

Chanel "Metiers d'Art" Show. Kristen Stewart The New Face of Chanel

Kristen Stewart is the new face of Chanel.

It’s been confirmed the Twilight actress will be shot by creative director Karl Lagerfeld for the French fashion brand’s pre-fall 2014 campaign.

Rumours she could be the star of the advertisement began when she attended the luxury label’s Metiers d’Art show in Dallas last night.

The 23-year-old attended the fashion event in an ensemble from the 2014 line.

Striking her famous sombre poses, she wore a cropped grey jumper with high-waisted tan leather trousers.

The outfit was given a ’70s vibe thanks to the flared legs of the pants.

Keeping it casual, she swept her tousled brunette hair over to one side and tied a brown sweater around her waist.

It’s not the first time the actress has dabbled with modelling – she’s the current face of Balenciaga’s Florabotanica perfume and has also appeared on the cover of magazines including ELLE and GQ.

She’s been associated with Chanel for a while and attended the brand’s Paris Fashion Week show in September.

Kristen joins an impressive list of previous faces of the label, which include Marilyn Monroe, Keira Knightley and Blake Lively.

The Chanel pre-fall 2014 campaign starring Kristen is set to debut in May.

Her current fashionable image is a far cry from her early red-carpet outfits, which often featured sneakers.

“I’m a huge fan of the fashion world now that I’ve been allowed to be a part of it, even if oftentimes I don’t even know what I’m wearing,” Kristen previously said. “But whenever I put on anything by Balenciaga I’m like, ‘Oh, that looks like Balenciaga!’ You can see it, you can pick it out of a rack.”
