Taylor Swift chooses clothes that she won’t be embarrassed by in 30 years’ time.
The Trouble singer discussed her wardrobe choices and style while promoting her latest collection for footwear brand Keds.
Taylor doesn’t think about what’s ‘in’ when choosing garments to add to her wardrobe.
“I don’t usually follow trends,” she explained to Teen Vogue. “I try to wear things that I can look back on in 30 years and be happy about!”
This will be the fourth collection the 24-year-old has designed for Keds.
And Taylor admitted the latest range is inspired by her own wardrobe, which she describes as a combination of Easter egg coloured and nautical-inspired pieces.
“There’s a lot of lace, polka dots, and stripes because those are the things I wear all the time!” she said.
But sneakers are also very close to the country singer’s heart.
Taylor grew up wearing the brand so she is thrilled to now be designing them.
“When I was a little kid, I had a pair of white Keds I wore everywhere,” Taylor told the publication.
“It was a nostalgic feeling when they asked me to be the inspiration for the collection. It’s cool to be part of something with such a legacy.”
Taylor had her very own signature pair which she wore on her recent Red world tour.
And the shoes came in handy for a particular segment of the show.
“I wore them on the Red tour during a part of the show where I had to crowd surf into a group of dancers, jump off the stage, and run all the way across the arena,” she revealed. “They were perfect!”
