Victoria Beckham had “so much fun” guest editing Paris Vogue magazine.
The designer worked on the December issue of the publication and her husband David joined her in posing for two limited edition cover shots. Victoria took to her Twitter account this morning to share her delight at being involved with the magazine.
“she wrote, posting a sneak peek of the feature. “Thank you to Emmanuelle Alt & @inezandvinoodh ! X vb.”
In one cover shot, Victoria wears a ruffled emerald dress and matching jewelled drop earrings with her long brunette hair falling around her shoulders. She looks up at her handsome husband, who moodily stares back at her as if leaning in for a kiss while wearing a tuxedo and messy blond hair.
In the other shot, David is dressed in a suit and stares straight into the camera, while his stunning wife gazes into the distance. Victoria has her arms wrapped around her man and looks strikingly elegant in a black dress and diamond earrings.
Victoria has revealed it was an “incredible honour” to be asked to guest edit the Christmas issue of the publication.
“Working with Emmanuelle Alt and her team was both exciting and inspiring and I am so proud of what we have created,” she gushed in a statement.
Emmanuelle Alt, Editor-in-chief of French Vogue, was also full of praise for Victoria’s efforts on the special issue.
“We handed over the running of this issue to a woman who, throughout our working together, has proved to be the exact opposite of her public image,” she said. “She is spontaneous with a great sense of humour, humble yet at the same time driven by a healthy ambition.
“She is a perfectionist, like everyone who is passionate about their work.”
In the seasonal issue, Victoria shares her favourite Christmas memories, family photographs and drawings done by her four children, as well as valuable fashion advice she received from her peers.
She also discusses her relationship with retired soccer star David, who she married in 1999.
“David and I have been through so much together. We’ve had our ups and downs, but we’re so proud of each other,” Victoria explained. “We’ve always been – and I include the children in this – amazingly happy about the success David has achieved. All those matches where we stood cheering on the terraces.”
