Wrong Lipstick

The BRIT Awards 2014 - Red Carpet Arrivals. Jessie J: Lipstick was wrong.

Jessie J appeared to have avoided a mirror as she arrived at the BRIT Awards 2014 last night wearing lilac lipstick.

The British singer sadly ruined her red carpet look by wearing the pale colour on her puckers, which made her look washed out.

It also appeared that Jessie was wearing a foundation a shade darker than her natural skintone as her complexion differed from the fair skin of her neck.

Accepting her make-up choice was a fail, the popstar took to Twitter to acknowledge her mistake.

“The lip didn’t work. Get over it. I have. Onto the next look!” she told her followers.

Luckily she made the right decision with her outfit. The 25-year-old opted for a sparkling plunging Julien Macdonald jumpsuit. With its dazzling embellishments the flashy number was enough to take attention away from Jessie’s lips if only for a few seconds.

Other musicians were hot to trot as they arrived at the ceremony in London.

Ellie Goulding looked like a Disney princess in a light pink Vivienne Westwood corset paired with a white, flower embellished tulle skirt. To complete the look the blonde singer styled her hair into a long side plate and added a splash of pink lipstick.

During the ceremony Ellie took to the stage to perform. For this she swapped her elaborate outfit for a pair of high-waisted hot pants and a gold bikini top. She wore yet another outfit to accept the Best British Female Solo Artist award, looking stunning in a gold zig-zag patterned gown.

It wasn’t just the British beauties who stole the spotlight last night. Katy Perry stepped out in an ivory silk dress covered in flower prints and a huge diamond ring, though she refused to divulge on whether she is engaged to boyfriend John Mayer.

Later she changed into a colourful Egyptian-style ensemble by Nicolas Jebran Couture for her performance of her song Dark Horse.
