Zosia Mamet wanted to steal clothes during her time on Mad Men.
The 26-year-old actress played Joyce Ramsay in the hit TV series until 2012.
As the show is set 1960s New York, Zosia was able to wear custom-made pieces to capture the fashion at the time.
She loved some of the pieces so much that she wished she could have sneaked them home.
“Actually, there were several pieces on Mad Men that I really wanted to steal. There were a pair of slacks that Joyce wore, and they were so well-tailored and looked so good,” she revealed to Elle.com.
“I thought, ‘Really, maybe I could take these,’ but [costume designer] Janie Bryant could tell, I think? She looked at me like, ‘I know you love those pants…’ And she would have killed me if I’d taken them. So they’re still in the Mad Men costume closet.”
When given the idea of breaking onto the set and stealing the trousers by the interviewer the brunette star mused: “Sure, I’ll just sneak in when they’re fitting Jon Hamm in a suit.”
Zosia is now known for her role as Shoshanna Shapiro in award-winning show Girls. Her character is known for the elaborate plaits in her hair, which she often styles into a donut bun style.
However Zosia has recently had her locks cut and has no plans to give the illusion of long hair.
“I mean, I don’t wear any extensions on the show. My hair is her hair… so, this is it!” she smiled.
She previously admitted her hair care routine in real life is nothing like that of her alter egos.
“I literally don’t own a brush,” she laughed to InStyle.com. “And I can’t remember the last time I washed my hair!”
